The concept of Li Songhua's work is a simple movement-twist, to make something, which seems impossible in real life into something possible in art. Two pieces of heavy iron board were pressed against a big marble stone, then while holding both ends; the piece was twisted to get this form or shape. Common sense tells us that you cannot twist iron or marble. But the artist makes this happen in the art form. Simple and sophisticated at the same time, Li Songhua's contemporary abstract sculpture emphasizes the idea of mankind's power to show its industry, its address and its resources of the mind.
